Frequently Asked Questions

What type of recruiting solutions do you offer?

We work with clients on a contingency or retained basis for every type of search objective from direct hire, interim/contract/temporary to temp-to-hire positions.

When and where were you founded?

We opened our doors in March 2008. Our first office location was in Manhattan Beach, CA.

What areas of recruiting do you specialize in?

The large majority of our positions are in Accounting & Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources and Operations. This though does not mean we haven’t had success with positions outside these departments, and we define Operations very broadly so we’re used to taking on a wide range of positions. We’re the one stop shop recruiting solution for many of our clients.

If I work with the Clay Burnett Group, what should I expect?

First class service. We know what it’s like to be on the other side of the desk whether you’re an employer or job seeker. Our firm is out to treat people how every person deserves to be treated. We go above and beyond to achieve the results we strive for every day. We’re proud of our work and will always aim to exceed expectations.

What is a Headhunter?

Headhunter is a term used often to describe what we do. Another descriptive catchphrase is Executive Recruiters. Headhunting is essentially the general process of searching for individuals to fill certain positions within different companies and organizations. By working outside the walls of these established entities we’re able to act as recruiters leveraging a wide range of search techniques in order to achieve desired results.

As an employer, why should I use an employment agency?

Everybody knows that you can post jobs online and try to do the job yourself. Just like home repairs however, the process can quickly get very complicated! We do our job so that you can focus on your job. Quality over quantity is key to maximizing time and achieving success in recruiting.

How long does the typical process take?

Depends on what you’re looking for. Some interview processes are quick while others require time. If you’re an employer and need to hire someone quick in an efficient process, we will expedite on our end by making it a priority search. We do everything in our power to meet timelines. It’s very possible to hire or be hired within a two to four week window. It all depends on your needs and desires.

What cities are you familiar with?

Since California is our home, we’re very familiar with the state and when we’re recruiting, commute times are always something we consider. We’re also experienced taking on searches for positions with clients located across the United States as well as internationally.
